While eLearning has made great strides in delivering content to scores of individuals via educational institutions, government agencies, and workforce development partners, many admit that an essential element is missing, especially in fields of technical training... the comprehension and insight one gains from “hands-on” activities. Thus the next step in the evolution of eLearning, incorporating the advantages of self-paced computer-based or internet-based tools with proven classroom and lab techniques; in other words, Blended Learning, or as it is known in some circles, hybrid learning and mixed learning.
This site, eLearnLABS.com, was developed to enable the delivery of online content by organizations, that may not have access to contemporary Learning Management Systems, but still require online resources for training employees, students, or members in technical subjects. Courseware and trainers can also be packaged for institutions with their own IMS / LMS modules, wishing to add online content linked with educational equipment, as well as networked or stand alone workstations in traditional lab settings. Mobile trainers are available for remote instruction, classroom environments with limited space, or for transport between multiple facilities.
